A long road
of dedication
The exciting adventure of Lottusse cannot be told without first talking about Antonio Fluxá Figuerola, the initiator of this path.
Mestre
Antoni Fluxá
Mestre Antoni was born on January 26, 1853 in the small Majorcan town of Inca. A town located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramontana that even then had an incipient economic life. Above all, if we compare it with other towns in that nineteenth-century and pre-tourist Mallorca, so isolated and closed in on itself.
Inca, the town
Inca,
the town
Upon his return to Majorca in 1877 after the end of the war, Mestre Antoni brought Inca more than just his shabby military uniform. He also carried.
Mestre Antoni immediately saw what we would now call a “window of opportunity” and that same year he founded his own shoe workshop. Lottusse began to walk: the first years he would do so wearing only men's shoes and from the beginning of the 20th century also with women's shoes.
His legacy
today
After his death in 1918, Mestre Antoni not only bequeathed a highly mechanized and developed shoe workshop. His legacy is especially a way of understanding and doing things: of conceiving the production of footwear, the mission of a business and relations with workers, among many other things.
